Mules are back? Awesome. I loved them in the 90s and I’m glad to see them again. Can you suggest a few pairs in the $75-$150 range? I am so excited to see your picks.

Yes, mule high heels are back in style. I wish the heels weren’t as high as they are–I saw a cute pair with 6″ (!!!) heels, and I was so sad. But here are a few pairs in your price range.
Now, I just need to practice walking in mules. Need a trick to make walking in them simpler? Grip tape on the soles gives you a little more traction, while a moleskin insole gives you a snug fit.

Need a flat mule? I can’t decide if these look too much like bedroom slippers or not, but I still kind of love them.
Ewww! No! No! No! No! No! Just the thought of the slapping against the foot sound they make makes my stomach turn.
As a tall girl, I love the concept of flat mules. Sadly, they make that terrible flip-flop “thwap” sound, which isn’t great in the marble halls of Congress. If anyone finds a pair under 3 inches, send them my way!
