Magaschoni Ivory Crewneck ($104)

An ivory crewneck sweater is a three season piece for me.  I layer it under jackets and scarves in the colder months, and wear it solo in the early spring.  This Magaschoni sweater is a good choice.  Charter Club from Macy’s has an $80 cashmere sweater that comes in a myriad of colors.  J.Crew also makes their popular Tippi sweater (also in petite) in ivory.

If crewneck isn’t your best look, Ann Taylor makes a scoop neck ivory sweater (also in petite).  Prefer a v-neck?  Boden makes an ivory sweater with wide trim for a sleeker look.

Plus-size?  Pendleton has a lovely silk-blend crewneck, and if you need a v-neck, Land’s End has you covered.  Tall?  Try this Gap Eversoft sweater.

Do you own the magaschoni sweater? Can you vouch for the quality? I have not had great luck with bluefly sweaters.

For a v-neck, I recommend the JCrew lightweight merino sweater. This is the first wool sweater I found that I could wear, and I get very, very itchy when wearing wool. The quality also seems to be good too.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
