Ask Belle: Fleece-Lined Leggings

Nov 3, 2014

Hi Belle,

I know you swear by the Zella Live-In leggings but I missed the Nordstrom sale for them. Have you had any luck finding a good pair of fleece lined leggings?

Thanks; good luck with school. I’m so glad you decided to keep the blog going.

Sharon

Yes, the Zella’s are my favorite.  I have them in black, grey and navy.  I love how soft they are.  They also come in plus-sizes.

If you’re looking for fleece-lined leggings, I would start with these from Plush.  If you’d like something with a light control-top, try these from Yummie.  And if you’re looking for a pair under-$30, these Anne Klein leggings and these leggings from Kohl’s are worth a look.

J Jill has fleece lined tights that are decent. They also have boot socks. I do love my Zella leggins but wish they came in petite.

I was at Macy’s the other day and they had fleece lined leggings by Hue. I’ve always been very happy with that brand.

It’s also worth it to go to TjMaxx, the one by me seems to be stocked with fleece leggings from companies like Cole Haan lately, for under $10.

I just bought two fleece lined leggings by Plush and they are terrible. I wore them with knee high boots and part of the legging that came in contact with the top edge of the boots got snagged and became big balls of fuzz. Otherwise, they are soft and comfortable. Just don’t wear them with knee high boots that have rough edges. Uggs would be fine.

I had the same problem with my Plush fleece-lined tights. They’re all pilled and snagged from being worn with boots.

I was really excited to buy the Zella leggings. But they were so itchy, I had to send them back….

Jumping in here to say that I purchased a few pairs of fleece-lined leggings at Ross last week for about $6/pair. They are pretty good quality and insanely comfortable; I literally wore them all of last weekend.

I live in Sweden and I’ve never seen a pair of fleece-lined leggings in the shops here. And boy, do we need them! Any Scandinavian readers who happen to know a brand, or a store where they are available?

Last winter I found tons of fleece-lined leggings at Rainbow – both in stores and online, in black and various prints. Gifted a printed pair to my SIL and she loved them.
