Morning Line: October 21

Oct 21, 2014

I am craving a dark navy handbag.  I want to wear it with black and grey pieces.  I also think it would look amazing with plums, teals and blush.

  1. The Vince Camuto satchel is beautiful. May I also suggest the Michael Kors jetset tote in navy? I’m strongly considering it. Also, Tory Burch has a ton of gorgeous navy bags.

I’d stay away from the Forever 21 bag, though–I’m sure it’ll fall apart in about 3 days.

I actually have a couple of bags from Forever 21 that I’ve had for over a year–they’ve been incredibly durable and look like they cost at least 4 times what I actually paid for them.

I have the Tory Burch York Tote, similar to the Michael Kors Jet Set, and I love it! My only qualm is that while it has a padded laptop sleeve (yay!) its only attached to the bottom at the corners so things can get lost under the sleeve (boo)

  2. I recently bought a navy Marc Jacobs (https://www.neimanmarcus.com/Marc-Jacobs-Baroque-Single-Extra-Large-Bag-Navy/prod151760126/p.prod) and it’s been one of the most versatile bags I’ve owned. It also reduces the need to switch bags too often because it matches many more outfits than a black or brown bag might.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
