H&M Ruffle Skirt ($30)

Want an alternative to the basic black pencil?  I love the little ruffle on this skirt.  It’s so fun.  This Ann Taylor skirt has a more pronounced flounce to it.  And I found similar style in navy.

Like the idea of a little something extra, but not crazy about the ruffle?  This XOXO drape skirt is a great option (runs small), as is this River Island one.  I also like this peplum skirt from WHBM (limited sizes).

Tall? Dorothy Perkins Panelled Skirt ($19).  Plus-size? Lord & Taylor Fluted Skirt ($50). Petite? Banana Republic Flounce Skirt ($59).

    Belle,
What would you wear on top with the ruffle skirt? I have seen several that I liked, but I am always at a loss for what to pair them with. Do you style it life a regular pencil? Like a full skirt? I like the femininity of the ruffle but I don’t know if I should go for a feminine top to match or a more structured top to balance.
    Thx, Liz

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
