T Tahari Tyra Print Dress ($128)

We’ve talked over the past few weeks about brands and stores that fit into a Hill Staffer’s budget.  T. Tahari is one of my favorite brands in this price point because it produces stylish pieces with a feminine, elegant feel.

This dress is a versatile piece.  Add a colored cardigan or a fitted grey blazer and you can wear it to the office.  The right high heels and a clutch, and the look is perfect for a semi-formal or casual wedding.  It’s also a great dress for brunch, religious services or family get-togethers.

If it’s a basic sheath you’re after, T. Tahari offers both a simple black and a heathered grey hue.  Their eyelet-accented Kimber dress is a great summer dress for work or play.  Need sleeves?  Try this short-sleeve Myra Peplum dress or this short-sleeve Lanette sheath.

I also find that T. Tahari is a great place to find blazers.  This sculpted Griffin jacket is sublime (sublime, I say!).  This tweed jacket in a navy melange would be a wardrobe staple for anyone who loves navy in the summer.  For a bit of color, I like this pale aqua dress.

There is another Tahari line in this price point called Tahari ASL.  That line comes in plus-size and petites.

This is gorgeous!! I wish I had a reason to buy it (polo shirts and khakis in my office…). I may have to find a wedding to attend…

Also LOVE that it is an A-Line.

Tahari ASL makes petite suits that fit my body (curvy and short-legged) great without need for a tailor, I love them. I’ll have to check out the T Tahari line as well!

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
