That all white suit at the top is killer. I only have darker suits that work year round as my office is pretty casual so I don’t wear suits too often. That said, having a white suit for summer would be nice.

  2. Glenda says:

Love and adore the white suit: I wear little jackets & pencil skirts all the time, so that suit is right up my alley (I’m a classical musician, incidentally). I have several pieces from Theory, Classiques, Tahari,RL, all of which wear like iron and require just a little tailoring if any for my figure. I’m not a full-on curvy-girl, but I do have a feminine figure, and although I like JCrew & BrooksBros very much, their cuts are too “straight-up-and-down” for me & require much tailoring, so I just look to them for inspiration sometimes. I throw in some of the solid and dotted and striped Shaped-Tee-Shirts from Lands End, which fit me like a dream & also wear like iron–I highly recommend them.

Thanks for your blog: I recently found it through an old Feather Factor post, & am enjoying it very much, Belle.

The Beauty Edit: An Under-Eye Concealer That Actually Works

My dark under eye circles have been the bane of my existence since I was 12. Is the cause lack of sleep? Dehydration? Sinus issues? Stress? Who the hell knows. But there they are, every day, telling the world that I am an exhausted working Mom.

Saw It On Social: The Battle of the Spendy Swimsuits

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
