Eliza J Fit and Flare Dress ($95)

The Nordstrom sale section is not technically a discount sale site, but it might as well be  It is my very.favorite.place to shop for dresses.

This white eyelet frock from Eliza J is a definite summertime crowd pleaser.  If you’re looking for something with year-round appeal, this 3/4 sleeve black bateau jersey dress definitely makes the cut.  This tonal-inset dress is perfect for the office in summer, and this short sleeve calypso coral dress would be lovely for a summer wedding.  I also really love this Isaac Mizrahi dress in a multi-colored print.

Plus-size? Don’t miss this Betsy and Adam lace dress for special occasions or this ikat fit and flare for any occasion (add sweater for work).  I also like this casual drawstring maxi dress.

Petite?  This Tadashi Shoji lace sheath (also in misses) is not to be missed.  This BCBG wrap dress has a cool, colorful print.  And this coral dress from Isaac Mizrahi with a high halter has me wishing I was a petite.

I bought a similar dress in Liz Claiborne from JCPenny in navy(I think it was mentioned a few weeks ago) , and I love it! It is very versatile.

This dress it pretty, but I’d be nervous to wear it – afraid that I would get something on it.

  2. Sarah says:

The coral Isaac Mizrahi dress is pretty, but it would look HORRIBLE on most petite women because of the length. Disappointing!

  3. Kris says:

Any recommendations for petite maxi dresses? For budgetary reasons,I am trying to avoid having a major alteration to shorten the length. Target and Old Navy petite proved to be way too long (I am 5 feet). I just ordered a maxi tee-shirt dress from Gap petite but it has not yet arrived. I also tried scoping out maxi dresses in kid sizing thinking I might find one that would not look too youthful but no success.
