Michael Kors Flex Pump in Navy ($99)

Several of my friends, and several of my readers, have asked for navy shoe recommendations.  Navy shoes, once considered stodgy and boring, are coming back.    Wear them with navy separates, with denim, with jewel tones or white.

These Flex pumps from Michael Kors give you a comfortable, padded footbed and a clean look.  L.K. Bennett also makes their popular Stila heel in navy, and J.Renee offers an open-toe version.  Need a pointed-toe for trousers?  Don’t miss these Ivanka Trump Natalie pumps.

I have a pair of Nine West wedges (“Lupetto”) in navy that are amazing. I have the same pair in cognac as well. They’re the perfect amount of pointy – more than an almond toe, but not so pointy they make your feet look huge. Love them!

  2. Mo says:

Navy, non-patent pumps? You are my hero.

    • Anonymous says:

Agreed! I would love to see more navy non-patent pumps, maybe even a pointy toe if you can find one. MK has not been comfortable for me personally.

    • JMW says:

AMEN! I have been searching forever for pumps that don’t scream flight attendant

  3. Alison V says:

Thank you SO much. My mom just started the search for navy shoes to wear for my sister’s wedding and these all would be perfect!

  4. Emilie says:

I have a pair of Navy Pumps from Payless, oddly enough, the most comfy shoes I have. Their Comfort Plus line is well-made, actually comfortable for long wear, and under $30. Sadly, the non-patent navy pumps I got in January are no long on the site, but check back often b/c the change their color offerings often. https://www.payless.com/womens-karmen-pump/70962.html?dwvar_70962_color=burgundy#start=4

I always think it’s funny when people send rude or overly personal questions when I put […]

I love stocking stuffers.  They are the best part of Christmas.  There’s just nothing quite like an affordable gift that’s funny or useful or chic (or maybe all three).  So here is Part One of my stocking stuffer gift guides, where nothing costs more than $30.

In the name of fiscal responsibility, I’m taking a shopping respite through the end of the year.  When you write a fashion blog, not shopping is like being a person on a diet who moves into a McDonald’s.  But I’m determined to flex some self-discipline now that my holiday shopping is done.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
