10th Commandment: April 4

Looking for a casual tote for running weekend errands or to carry extras to the office?  Try a leather tote.  They’re versatile and chic, but a bit cavernous, so I keep mine organized with pouches.

I also like this Old Navy tote that comes in shades of brown and snakeskin.

Any suggestions on a similar size and style, but with a zip top or some other secure closure?

I have the everlane tote and I love it. I get so many compliments on it! The only downside is that it doesn’t close at the top, so I don’t often travel with it. Otherwise, it’s an A+ bag!

Does any one have the Everlane tote? And about the madewell, Meaghan if you are still reading, could you comment on how “dressy” it is – meaning, do you think I could get away with it for work, or is it more distressed looking in person. Thanks! This is exactly what I’m looking for, I love these Thanks Belle!!

Casey, I have the Madewell tote and I do actually use it for work( along with my Longchamp Le Pliage for rainy days). I work in a business-casual setting so the tote fits right in, but I also use it for the weekend.

I’ve used it for travel as well where I had stashed all of my electronics inside (camera, laptop, tablet, batteries and chargers) so it can carry a lot. Structure wise, it holds it’s shape quite well. When I bought my tote at one of their stores in Atlanta, the head manager brought her own out to show me what it looks like after a year of wear and tear. She noted that doesn’t baby it all so it looks more distressed than her friends who have one as well. I tend to baby mine so the patina is developing quite nicely. I hope this helps!

And for the Petra: https://www.lesantimodernes.com/2014/01/review-minimalist-work-tote.html This blogger bought hers in black but she seems to enjoy it for very much.

I use my madewell tote for work every day!

I don’t own this bag, but I’ve seen the etsy shop reviews and the pictures look gorgeous – another leather tote line to consider would be Rib and Hull: https://www.ribandhull.com
