Belle Finds the Perfect Maxi Dress

Feb 12, 2014

When I saw this outfit on Blair Eadie’s blog last year (?), I fell in love with it.  I loved the mix of the military-style jacket and the soft, flowy dress cinched with a simple belt.  But I could never find an ivory maxi dress that wasn’t prohibitively expensive, until now.

This Sabine dress from Piperlime is a lovely dress.  I can wear it with the olive jacket that I bought from Hive & Honey ($98).

Looking for something similar in plus-size?  This Modcloth dress is gorgeous (in misses sizes as well), but currently out of stock.  Though Modcloth does re-order based on popularity.

Is it April yet?  I’m getting impatient to wear my dresses with sandals or flats instead of tights and boots.

Wow, that’s beautiful! Do you have any belt suggestions? Mine tend to either be too skinny or too wide to work with my dresses.

I mentioned a J.Crew belt in the Weekly Favorites from today. It’s a men’s belt but it’s an adjustable one, so it makes no difference.

Thanks! That looks perfect; I might check it out this weekend if a snow plow ever makes it down our street to free us 🙂

That IS a perfect maxi dress but for some reason while I love the look I can’t walk in one. It drives me mad that the fabric whips in and out in between my legs and I feel so constricted…

But I love the look of it.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
