Zara Kitten Heel Shoes with Bow ($70)

I don’t like bows.  More to the point, I don’t like the flimsy bows they sometimes put on ballet flats or the ostentatious Christmas-package bows that they put on high heels.  But I do like sleek bows with clean lines, like the bow on the shoe above.

I also like the look of kitten heels.  They can be worn under trousers as an alternative to heels or flat, and I like the vintage look of kitten heels with a pencil skirt.  I like the chic embellishments on these DKNY heels (good for daytime or evening), and these black and white snakeskin-like heels from Topshop.

Need something under-$50?  I found these black patent kitten heels from Target and these D’orsay-style kitten heels.

I don’t like the flimsy string bows on ballet flats either- I think they look silly and cheap. I found these https://www.6pm.com/ivanka-trump-walker-new-nocciola-mc-beige-soho that are similar to the Zara pair too!

is the fabric on the zara shoes too satin-y for work? I can’t tell if they’re shiny or not. Love the structure though.

Kate Spade does some nice, simple bows sometimes. I love their Lilia Heels, although I can’t afford them!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
