Ivanka Trump Janie Pumps ($99)
There is never a bad time of year to talk about basic black pumps, but when Nordstrom is having a pre-holiday sale that brings the prices down to under-$100, it’s a better time than most. I own these Janie pumps in the burgundy, and I love them. They’re a bit higher than my usual heels, but they’re still quite comfortable.
The sale also has a veritable cornucopia of pointed-toe heels in the under-$100 price range. The Enzo Call Me Maybe pump is a great place to start, or the Ivanka Trump Indico heel if you’re looking for something under-3″. Only one quick note about Ivanka’s pumps… I bought a gorgeous pair of nude-to-me pumps back in January (and LOVED THEM). I wore them intermittently at work and to two weddings. During the cockatil hour at the second wedding, I was standing and chatting to someone when suddenly my heel gave way and I realized (much to my chagrin) that the heel had completely broken off of the sole of the shoe. I won’t be buying her pumps again… SO sad about it!
