Melie Bianco Shayla Clutch ($39)

While there are some beautiful designer clutches for sale, I usually pay less than $50 for mine.  There are so many inexpensive, stylish bags on the market that you can find anything you need in a budget friendly price point.  And I get so many compliments on my $20 ASOS clutches, there is little reason to spend more.

Claire Vivier recently breathed new life into the foldover clutch, but this Urban Outfitters knock-off is a good alternative.  I also like this bone leather clutch with matte pewter hardware.  This oversize Forever21 clutch is also nice, and I like the tonal studs on this blush-pink clutch.

I would carry any one of these clutches on a random Tuesday to add a bit of vintage elegance to my work wardrobe.  I have most of the essentials doubled at work, so what I “need” to carry is not too much for a decent-sized clutch.

If it’s smaller clutches you are after, I love this box clutch with a panther on the clasp.  It’s very Studio 54.  I also like this neutral canvas and snakeskin frame clutch.  Andt this amazing minaudiere in opalescent white with a gold accent is just too good to miss.

P.S. The only clutch that I found while researching this post that would convince me to break my under-$50 rule is this gorgeous sting-ray embossed leather clutch with a lucite clasp.  Seriously, to die.

Agreed on the inexpensive clutches! The one you have at the top is adorable.

And yes, the BCBG clutch may be worth the splurge. Ultra cute.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
