Zara Patch Pocket Blazer ($90)
Even though it is oppressively hot outside, there are still days when I need to wear a jacket. And since some retailers have already started releasing fall collections, I have jackets on the brain. The great thing about this orange cotton jacket is that the color is punchy enough for summer, but still great for fall. I can wear it now, and wear it later.
If you need blazers to wear in the summer, I would start with a basic white and/or a basic navy, preferably in cotton or an all-season wool. Colorful jackets to wear with neutral separates are also good for summer. This green blazer would pair well with navy and this coral jacket would look great with white. And a collarless jacket like this white eyelet or this linen jacket with a delicate stripe are also nice.
And while I was searching for blazers and jackets, I found a great selection at LOFT, which is really stepping up their game. This punchy coral blazer has a peplum, but just in the back. It’s unique, and I think some women will find it very flattering to their figures. I also like the idea of this purple geo-print jacket with navy separates, and this shawl collar jacket is a good choice for the office and casual wear.
Plus size: I found this pretty coral/orange jacket in a modern cut. Petite: I found this jacket with an inverted notch color in an off-white linen.
Thanks for tip on the LOFT jacket. It’s so cute that I just bought one. It’s on sale for $66.18 and I used Ebates, which saved me another 3%, so I feel like a saved even more money!
Oops–I forgot to mention this was regarding the coral one.
This afternoon, until 7, everything at the LOFT is 50% off!
I just bought that Coral blazer and got it for 40% off! I wore it to work this week with a lightweight cream pencil skirt and a black silk short sleeved blouse on a 92 degree day.
I got quite a few compliments and also really liked how it totally transformed the look of some neutral pieces I had in my closet.
