Cole Haan Open Toe ($198 + 20% off)
This is an Ask Belle for myself. I’ve decided that nude-to-me heels are probably not going to get as much wear this summer as I thought, so I should buy a pair of nude flats instead. (I’m a sucker for a flat shoe.) I had initially intended to buy this Jimmy Choo pair during the Gilt sale yesterday, but missed my chance because the computer selected that moment to crash. Yay.
Luckily, this Cole Haan pair is on discount at Bloomingdale’s during their friends and family sale. And if they’re out of your size, Zappos also has them at a reduced price.
I also like these Michael Kors flats that have nice mix of patent leather and suede and are on sale for $136 and also come in black.
If you’re in search of something less expensive, I found these Me Too low wedges on the Nordstrom website. These flats from Clarks are cute with a structured bow on the front. And these open toe slingbacks are pretty cute for $33.
Prefer a color? How about a red pair that can be worn in summer or the pre-snow fall?
What are your thoughts on bright pink flats?
Why not? I think a deep pink would be nice https://ow.ly/lOv48
Cute suggestion!
I recently bought a pair of nude shoes that I’m obsessed with… from Payless! I think a commenter on here or Corporette recommended Payless’ comfort line, and although I was skeptical, I’m really loving these shoes: https://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat200001&skuId=129913090&productId=71991&lotId=129913&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
I can walk miles in them without pain.
I have a lovely pair of AGLs that fit this bill perfectly, except they are not open toed. they are very comfortable and i get tons of compliments they are also on sale at nordstrom for almost half of what i paid.

I’ve never been much of a fan of peep toed flats. How are they better than regular flats? They just look sort of weird to me.

In the summer, they show off a cute pedicure and are airier (thus, cooler) than closed-toed flats because they provide a little breathing room. I think they are a nice, dressier alternative to summer sandals and can be appropriate for work (whereas the former are total no-no’s in most offices).
