From Right, Earrings: Lucky Brand Hoops ($25) Bracelet: VC Textured Bangle ($58) Bag: Brahmin Hobo ($295) Shoes: J.CREW Miri Pump ($198) Jacket: Wallis White Jacket ($78) Top: Contrast Shell Top ($59) Skirt: Reiss Pencil Skirt ($160)

For Casual Monday.  A simple sheath, structured flats and a scarf is an outfit for not-too-casual spring days.  And if you’re not sure how busy your day will be, you can bring a navy blazer just in case.

I chose this white Tara Jarmon dress for the crisp fabric and the clean, structured shape.  If you need something less expensive, this $139 Ralph Lauren dress is a great substitute.  Petite?  Try this Banana Republic dress.  Plus size?  I like this Tahari ASL sheath with the split neckline.

The accessories help bring in some color and make the look professional.  I love the look of turquoise and gold with the pinky-coral color of the scarf, so I chose this bracelet.  (I also found this inexpensive alternative.) I added a sleek bag (I also like this messenger satchel) and some open-toe ballet flats.

For the makeup, I would choose a bright pink blush like Bobbi Brown nectar and a glossy lip.  For the hair, I would wear it up in a messy updo fastened at the back of the head.

For the Office.  Wearing black in warm weather months can be tricky.  Here, I paired a black pencil with a printed top in a summery shade of pink and a white blazer.  It lightens up the skirt a bit.

I like the shape of this white blazer.  The lapel is the good width, and I always like a one-button blazer.  Need a petite option? Try this Halogen blazer.  Plus size?  Give this Jones of New York blazer a look.

As for the accessories, these open-work hoops are versatile and adorable.  A bit boho, a bit chic.  And I chose this bangle for the light color and the textured material.  If you’d like something a bit sleeker, try this woven cuff or this hammered silver cuff from Nest.

Let’s talk about these shoes for a moment.  They’re a great height, but they have no foot bed padding.  So if you want to buy them, I recommend it, but don’t forget the insole.

For the hair, I would wear it up, lightly teased in a bun or french twist.  For the makeup, I would wear black eyeliner, some pink blush and a slightly deeper pink lip balm.

Love the random smiley face made from the sunglasses, ring and necklace!

Can anyone comment on the sizing of Dorthy Perkins tops? I think I’ve heard they run small. Any experience appreciated.

“For the Office” is so great especially – would get every single one of those pieces! In fact, I just got a very similar blazer and am expecting a floral patterned blouse in this month’s Stitch Fix. The bag is so beautiful…I wish I could spring for it!

I love that the scarf is cotton, not polyester. So nice against the skin.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
