Crepe Seam Shift Dress ($92)

Sometimes I have trouble finding items for the 10th Commandment.  They need to be stylish, versatile and the right price.  This week, I was really struggling to find something until I spotted this dress…and, done.

I love the vibrant, juicy color.  I love the folded seams near the waist.  And I like the fact that it has sleeves (though I think they could be easily removed if you prefer a sleeveless sheath).

I also found this great Ann Taylor cap sleeve dress in orange, super chic.  This Cynthia Steffe orange cocktail dress totally stopped me in my tracks.  And this relaxed printed dress with a side tie would be stunning with a flat sandal for summer brunches and casual Fridays.

The printed dress above also comes in plus size, as does this bright shirtdress.  Petite?  Try this flirty flare dress or this rust-colored frock.

Belle, you have no idea how long I’ve been searching for a young (yet professional) orange dress. The featured pick & the Loft pick are amazing! Thanks so much!

  2. Christina says:

Loved the dress until I looked at the back. Am I the only one that hates this exposed zipper trend?

  3. Katie says:

Thank you for the petite option!

  4. PLM says:

If one has a bigger chest (Ds) but isn’t plus sized do you think this is too much fabric up top? I love stuff like this and am tired of my all v neck wardrobe.

I’ve had crewnecks like this turned into a slight scoopneck before (just to have a bit more skin) and it costs about $35. But you’d have to try it on to know whether it was too much.

  5. Ashley says:

I tried on the LOFT dress this weekend. It was adorable, except that it appeared the have hidden darts that hit in exactly the wrong place. I’d rather not draw that type of attention.

  6. Samantha says:

    Loving the orange dress!

  7. Lexi says:

Thanks for including some great plus size options!

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
