Three Dots Cowl Neck Top ($52)

I love cowl necks.  I wear them with basic business suits, under belted blazers and with cardigans.  They add a bit of volume, which is nice for those of us who weren’t blessed with cups that runneth over.

I like this short sleeve ballet pink top, and this draped neck top.  If you prefer long sleeves, Ann Taylor has a few on sale.  I also like this casual Michael Stars top with a dramatic cowl neck.

If you would prefer your cowl neck in a dress, Black Halo makes lovely ones in both sleeveless and 3/4 sleeve.  If you are looking for something less expensive, this Three Dots dress is very cute.  I also like this Suzi Chin dress.

Plus size? I like this short sleeve top and this long sleeve one.  As for dresses, this Adrianna Papell frock for daytime and this David Meister dress for cocktail.

I love the drape of cowl neck tops, but the color/fabric combination on the three dots purple top seems a bit too much for daytime. I would go with the shiny fabric in a more muted color, or a bright purple top in a less shiny fabric. It's great for nighttime, though.

I love that color of the first top!

Having been inspired by Scandal's Olivia Pope character, I spent sometime researching this look, I completely agree about the figure type this is best for. Our fully endowed sisters do themselves no favors with this style of top (which I think is technically a draped front as opposed to a real cowl neck which is an overgrown turtleneck).

I love drape neck and cowl neck tops for the same reason you mentioned – add some oomph to my chest.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
