Blythe Silk Blouse (J.CREW, $110)

Silk army-style button downs began their fashion comeback a couple of years ago, and now, they’re everywhere.  Equipment blouses are the original, but this off-white number from J.CREW is a great basic for your wardrobe.  For the most part, you can wear it just like you do any other button down, but the look is much more feminine.

However, if you’re busty, the pockets may not be the best choice.  This Rachel Zoe blouse skips the pockets for a slightly sleeker look.

I also like this collarless, tunic style silk blouse with a light embellishment on the collar.  And if you prefer brights over basics, this deep magenta is sublime and this collarless royal purple is also gorgeous.

Plus size options include this collarless white shirt and this bold purple-pink number

    I hate boob pockets.

Just had to say it. I don't really get peeved when other people wear them (I wear things that other people hate- like espadrille wedges), but I can't bring myself to wear a shirt with them. I'm not busty or plus-sized, so the pockets wouldn't be too bad for me to wear. But I just can't. They remind me of those lactation tank tops with pockets for pads to catch and leaks.

Any tips for other solid silk tops like this without pockets? Im open to ones with and without collars.

Love the look but I can't do it. Too ample of chest.

Add to Cart: Five Recent Amazon Purchases

Since my daughter was born, Amazon has claimed so much of my money that I had to buy stock just to get some of it back.  Between the formula, onesies, fruit pouches, diapers, wipes, and ever evolving list of baby development gear, I could not survive without Prime.   My husband no longer notices the […]
