Gap Ponte Schoolboy Blazer ($88)

The instant I spotted this blazer on Mizhattan, I knew I had to post it.  It’s winter, and I am tired of black, so why not a coral jacket?

If you’re also looking for a pop of color, try this cobalt blazer, this orange one or this green blazer.  But if you prefer your pop of color a bit less substantial, try this coral bib necklace or this purple necklace.

Check back at 1:00PM for Two Ways to wear this blouse.

Agreed, Gina. I tried this on today at the store and not only was it blindingly neon pink, it looked a bit cheap. The fabric looked better in darker colors, I think.

I was a disappointed, but maybe it will work better for others!

I love this jacket and they've had it for a few months, changing up the colors periodically. I keep hopefully trying it on, only to be reminded that this was NOT made for ladies with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. As much as I love it, I've had to add it to the [now long] list of items that years of competitive swimming make it impossible for me to wear.

I have this blazer in the magenta color they were selling earlier this fall and I get compliments on it constantly. It's super comfortable too.

  4. m says:

JCrew has some bright colored wool blazers on sale for $120 plus an extra 30% off and free shipping. That makes it pricier than Gap, but the quality and tailoring of the Schoolboy jackets I find impeccable for something off-the-rack.

  5. EmZ says:

Has anyone seen this blazer in real life? I love the color shown in the picture, but the name “neon coral” and some of the reviews are making me hesitant to order it (I would want to wear it to the office and such).

  6. D says:

this blazer comes in petite sizing as well, and it fit my 5'0 frame better than any blazer i've tried on in ages. i bought it in three different colors and i am really having to resist the urge to buy this one as well…

anyway for those of you out there who have trouble finding blazers that don't make you look like you're playing dress up in your mom's clothing cos the sleeves are so long and the shoulders are so big … this is a great blazer for you.

  7. Gina says:

In real life, this blazer is NEON pink…not coral as it appears in photographs. It's actually quite blinding. AKA, unless you work in an office where the dress code is VERY casual, I wouldn't wear it to work.
