Sterling Skirt in Double Serge Wool (J.Crew, $148)
I usually feature pencil skirts on this site, but this skirt is an a-line–a shape that is a bit more forgiving on many figures. J.CREW makes the skirt in this soft mint, a vibrant orange, a carbon color and camel heather. So if you want to add a winter skirt to your wardrobe and you want to branch out from the pencil, give this a-line a try.
Also, J.CREW is running a special right now, 25% + free shipping on sales over $150.
Looking for an a-line skirt in a lower price point? This pleated a-line is under-$50. And this colorblock skirt from Loft is under-$70.
Need a plus size skirt? I love this pleated tweed skirt in deep teal.

I love this skirt! Maybe it's just me though, but that still looks pretty “pencil” shaped to me…

That's just this photo. Look at it on the actual model.

Even on the model it's pretty straight rather than angled- can we call it a lower-case A-line?

The JCAs blog posts say that it is less A-line than last year's version. Some liked last year's better – it was longer, some like this year's. Any other suggestions for a good camel colored skirt? Thinking about the sterilng with the 25% off but still a little higher than I want to spend.

Would y'all wear bear legs with this? I feel like with such a light color, tights might look a bit harsh?

I'm definitely intrigued by how to style a mint skirt in the winter. I love the color.

i definitely would still not call that an a-line skirt. especially since that model is skinny and anybody with much thighs would make it look like a pencil.
