SkinnyGirl Vitamin C Body Scrub ($10)
Most women get lazy about their skincare in the winter, especially taking care of the skin on their body. It’s just as important to exfoliate and moisturize your arms and legs in the winter as it is in the summer.
That being said, this is going to be the shortest product review in the history of CHS: This product stinks.
I picked up thinking that the vitamin C and shea butter would polish my skin and moisturize it in one stroke. But when I used it, it left my skin covered in a gross film. No matter how hard I washed with soap, the film would not come off. I finally had to break out the loofah so that I could scrub it off.
Worst $10 I’ve ever spent.
Want a better body scrub? I like the Philosophy Salt Scrubs ($25) and the Bodycology Sugar Scrub from Ulta ($6). Need something gentle? Try Kiehl’s.
This saddens me. Thanks for saving me the $10 Belle!
I general, and in my opinion, SkinnyGirl products are junk. From vodka to . . whatever, ANY store or discount brand would be better. Skinny margarita? Tequila, stevia, lime juice. Ta-da!
Yes!!! I bought this at TJ Maxx this summer hoping it would help me feel refreshed….it is absolutely DISGUSTING….you feel like someone slathered melted glue sticks onto your skin. Plus, the cranberry scent actually smells like burned plastic with some fruit oil tossed in. 100% agree….stay far away.
Good advice! I was recently going to buy this. You just saved me $10.
I love Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk and Honey Body Polish (https://www.kiehls.com/Creme-de-Corps-Soy-Milk-and-Honey-Body-Polish/680,default,pd.html?start=1&cgid=body-cleansers-scrubs) but my roommate swears by Bliss Hot Salt Scrub (https://www.sephora.com/hot-salt-scrub-P12041?skuId=1026798), which I've tried and like but not as much as my Kiehl's
I have been using the Gingerbread Man by Philosophy for years, but maybe I'll branch out and try one of the other Philosophy ones. Thanks for the suggestion!
I swear by Epson salts and baby oil. Mix them together in a bowl (1 part oil, 2 part salts) and lather on in the shower – amazing and so wallet friendly.
