Campaign Tee (CafePress, $30)

Every politico has a drawer filled with campaign t-shirts, vests and fleeces.  At some point while working the trail, you will no doubt be asked to wear one.  But turning that t-shirt into a chic outfit can be a bit of a challenge.

When I said that I would be posting about how to accessorize a campaign tee, I didn’t think that that was a post idea that would translate to the masses.  However, a number of you mentioned that you wear t-shirts for work (baristas, canvassers, etc.) and that you would be happy for a few tips.  So check back at 1:00PM for Two Ways to dress up a logo tee.

So excited for this post! I was just thinking yesterday of how I was going to accessorize my campaign shirt for election day, so this is perfect timing!

  2. Anne says:

Oh my God, I'm old. I had this shirt. Pretty sure I paired it with high-waisted jeans from the Gap and Nikes. But I went to college in CA, so I might have just gone barefoot.

  3. Anna says:

I wish my campaign shirts were that cute :(. I swear, if I ever run for office, the first order of business is gonna be to banish those loose-fitting, unisex, boxy t-shirts for all my lady-volunteers. Even the smalls aren't flattering, though my boss usually only gets larges and above. I guess that way everyone's guaranteed to be able to get into the shirt, even if it does look more like a dress. Ho hum.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
