Metal Heel Court Shoe (Zara, $80)

This shoe is a sneak attack.  From the front, it’s a basic suede pump.  Then, you get a glimpse at the heel and it’s gold metallic with a pop of lipstick red.  Frankly, it’s the perfect day to night shoe.

Very sassy! If only Zara made shoes in my size.

Maybe I work in a stuffy office, but I didn't know a metal heel was day wear… how would you style a shoe like this to not be too much at a 10:00 meeting?

  3. @Erin – If your pants are long enough, only the metal part of the heel will show. I think if the rest of your outfit is classic enough, you can pull metal heels off -maybe not in the most but certainly in more conservative offices. I would try a classic dark navy or black, slim cut pant suit with a silk collared shirt in a neutral color (champagne, graphite), a delicate necklace, gold studs for a 10am meeting around where I work.

@Belle – Do you prep Zara heels with insoles or gel cushions or are they comfortable for you 'as is'?

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
