Isabella Oliver High-Waisted Pencil ($93)

I’ve been craving a bright pink pencil skirt since last summer.  This skirt is perfect for a casual work day or for those of you who work in a funkier environment like an ad agency, a pr firm or other creative business.  Check back at 1:00PM for Two Ways to wear the skirt.

I've been craving a bright pencil skirt as well, but $93 is a little too much to spend. Do you have a cheaper version you could recommend?

  2. Ellie says:

I LOVE my hot pink pencil skirt, but definitely save it for days we're not in session.

  3. Shannon says:

Caroline – I'd try The Limited and New York and Company for brights. If you're a 6 or a 10, this one is on sale: https://www.thelimited.com/High-Waist-Stretch-Sateen-Skirt/7103409,default,pd.html?dwvar_7103409_colorCode=574&start=3&ppid=c3&cgid=sale-skirts

  4. Caroline says:

Thanks Shannon! Too bad I'm a 2– my size never goes on sale. 🙁

  5. Amy says:

What about the bright pink J Crew pencil skirt?

  6. Katie says:

Here is the skirt Amy is talking about. It is currently on sale and appears to be available in a 2!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
