Polyvore Set Here.

For the Office. Apparently, I am still in my blue period. But this jacket was just too adorable not to post.  After all, who doesn’t love a peplum?

I like to mix cognac and black.  It’s a chic combination.  And I like the way the warmth of the bag pairs with the warm reds and oranges in the tank, which helps bring together the blues and greens in the ensemble.

You could add a belt if you want.  It would need to be a skinny belt otherwise it will mess with the bottom button in a bad way.  I wouldn’t wear black, as it might be too severe.  I would probably choose a skinny cognac belt.

My recent shoe choices have been a bit bolder as of late, and these Reiss pumps are no exception.  I like that they take advantage of the colorblocking trend and the mint green trend without overwhelming their classic shape.

For the hair, I would wear a bun.  You could also wear your hair half-up/half-down and wavy, if you’re hair will hold a curl in this humidity.  For the makeup, I would do a very simple eye with lots of liner and mascara, and a matte lip in a medium red.

For Summer BBQs. I don’t usually embrace summery patterns and prints, especially those prints with a Miami/Florida bent to them.  However, I adore this dress from Webster at Target. It also comes in a maxi style that is also very cute.

And if you’re looking for a chic, colorblock cardigan for summer, Webster made a lovely one in navy and coral or white and kelly green with navy.  The cardi also comes in plus sizes, and is perfectly adorable and on trend.

I own many light, cotton summer dresses.  And several of them came with flaccid fabric belts like the one above.  I always switch that out for a leather belt.  It’s more sophisticated, more put together and often, more flattering to the figure.

I kept the accessories fairly simple.  I don’t usually wear big earrings, but I adore these textured hoops.  (Guess has a similar pair for $22, if this price is too steep for you.)  And I was so excited that I found a way to incorporate these brightly-hued Kate Spade sunnies.  I just love them.

Since this outfit is designed to be worn outside, I would recommend wearing the hair up so that you can stay cool.  I’d probably wear a high, messy bun or a braid.  For the makeup, I would wear a light tinted moisturizer with SPF, bronzer and a pop of pink blush on the apples of my cheeks.  I’d also wear a bright nail polish on my toes.

Love this bag, but I can't tell if the hardware is silver or gold? Does anyone know for sure?

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
