10th Commandment: January 18

Jan 18, 2012

I’m going to level with you, right now, putting together the 10th Commandment posts is a constant source of aggravation.  It’s not spring, but it’s not winter.  Things are on sale, but there’s only one size.  The lack of blog-worth items is killing me softly.  So things will be a bit sporadic around here until the spring clothes start coming out next month.

Until then, perhaps y’all could help spur my creativity.  If you have an item you’d like to see a 10th Commandment on, send it to capitolhillstyle (at) gmail (dot) com.  And please, for maximum effectiveness, send the link to the exact item in question, not just a general “red purse.”  Thanks!

Valentino Roma Cutout Skirt (Outnet, $732)

In the meantime, how awesome is this skirt? I mean, dove grey, laser cut, leather rosettes on a peach background.  Shut.the.front.door.

Perhaps, I could go on a starvation diet and dedicate my food budget to the purchase?  No, that’d never work.  I’m far too old to eat Ramen for fashion.  Once you hit 25, vegetables and fruits are no longer optional.

What about a week of jewelry for 10th Commandment? Beautiful baubles know no season 🙂

I'm growing out my bangs and would love a 10 commandment that featured hair accessories that could make my hair look less frightening.

Just bought this dress and would love a three ways! It's so cute and I'm hoping to wear it to more than a casual wedding. https://tinyurl.com/883apge

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
