Giveaway: Gilt City Gift Cards

Gilt Groupe took the fashion world by storm offering designer styles at sample sales prices. (I don’t know a single woman who isn’t glued to her computer at noon each day to check out the new sales.) And now they’re taking on the world of discount group sales offering exclusive, luxury experiences at Hill Staffer-friendly prices.
Gilt City offers deals in D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle. From yoga classes to four-star restaurants to luxury spas, you can experience the best these cities have to offer for less.
A few weeks ago, I entered a blogger competition for Gilt City to celebrate their D.C. launch. The prize: A $50 gift card and a $250 gift card to Gilt City. And now, I’m going to give those cards away to my readers and Twitter followers. So here are the rules, read carefully:
Since there are two gift cards, there will be two giveaways. One in the comments section of this post, and one on my Twitter page. You can enter to win both, but you can only win one. So, basically, you can double your chances of winning, but you can only win one of the prizes. Here’s how to enter:
For the $250 Card: In the comments section, list one place in D.C. (or the city from the list above that you love most) that you’d like to see as a Gilt City deal. What are the cities hottest restaurants, bars, attractions, events, etc.?
And don’t forget to put your email address in the login field when you comment. If I don’t have your address, I can’t contact you, so you can’t win.
For the $50 Card: Step one, follow me on Twitter, if you’re not already. Step two, leave a comment listing your favorite restaurant, hotel, attraction or event in the city of your choice from the list above.
Entries should look like this: @CapHillStyle Washington, D.C.-Rasika #CHSgiveaway. You have to remember to use the hash tag and mention my handle so your entry doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.

I'd love to see Ristorante Filomena, the absolutely divine Italian restaurant in Georgetown, hit Gilt City.
I would love a deal that let me first get pampered at Bliss Spa, followed by dinner at Komi. This would be the best day ever!
While this may seem cliche to others, I will forever love P.O.V at the W Hotel in DC. Nothing beats the views, particularly when the weather is pleasant.
Restaurants–I love Chef Geoff's, Founding Farmers, but I would try just about any restaurant they offered. Please do a Bliss Spa promotion! I seriously can't afford their prices.
I would love to see Chicago Cut Steakhouse on 300 N. LaSalle St. in Chicago as a Gilt City offer. That place is amazing and it recently opened this year.

POV is a classic for HH or brunch, but I wouldn't object to a GiltDC deal at Art & Soul or Red Door Spa.

I would love to see Kushi featured. It such a modern looking and inspired restaurant that it really captures Gilt Group's “in the moment” essence. Not to mention the sushi is out of this world but fairly pricey.
Am I allowed to put a ditto? If so, I second that a promotion for Bliss Spa would be amazing.
PX, in Alexandria. The perfect amount of well-mannered pretension. It's a great place to take a moment to enjoy the finer things in life, like men in jackets and chandeliers at a bar!

I would like to see a deal for Corduroy Restaurant – it's a wonderful place that I don't get to visit as often as I would like.
I would love to see a deal for the Sundial Restaurant, Bar, & View in Atlanta. Delicious cocktails and a breathtaking view!
Rogue 24! The brand new 24-course restaurant hidden in Blagden Alley. I love the concept but at $175 per person (including pairing) it's a bit out of reach.
I've got to go with Bliss Spa in Washington D.C. I know it's a chain, but it's great, and I can never afford all of the services I want!

Philadelphia is a perfect weekend destination for those of us in D.C. who are in need of an escape on a budget or in my case, a visit home. Whether you drive, bus, or take the train you will arrive in a city filled with brotherly love for food, art, sports, shopping, entertainment, and museums. Often folks associate Philly food with cheesesteaks and soft pretzels. While both are delightful treats there is an array of eclectic food that will surely satisfy your CHS taste buds! The restaurant I would recommend as a Guilt City deal is one that is on my list to indulge in post baby. It is called The Farmers Cabinet (https://www.thefarmerscabinet.com) and features some of my favorite things: great drinks (cocktails or beer), fantastic cheese plates, and other good eats. Enjoy!

PX in Alexandria- LOVE IT!
This one may be a bit outside of the box but I really enjoy District 9, which is a traditionally gay gentleman's bar, but its a great atmosphere even for a straight woman. The dirnks are well mixed and the atmosphere is great — the perfect place to meet up with my gay boyfriend :-).
Definitely The Caucus Room for food. Being raised on a farm in the midwest, I can attest to the quality of their steak (especially the USDA Prime cuts, absolutely mouth watering). But the price is a little much for Hill Staffers. If Guilt City had a deal for them, it would be a great place to go pre-theater or on a nice date!
As for clothing, I'd love to see Guilt City do a deal for Lost Boys or Hugh & Crye. They carry great brands, and although a little pricey, it's a good excuse to drag the boyfriend/significant other out to refresh his wardrobe.
I would love to see Baked and Wired featured — I know its not glitzy glamour, but they are fantastic, local, great organic coffees and teas and the best cupcakes in town.
Founding Farmers or Komi!
Would love to see deals from Estadio, Graffiato and Poste! Also any of the great consignment or vintage shops in Georgetown. Those who suggested P.O.V. had a great idea too!

I would love to see a deal for theater tickets, especially the Shakespeare company or a ballet production. Or even some kind of dinner and a show package, but that might be expecting too much.
As far as luxury I can’t afford but would love to try, Bourbon Steak at the 4 seasons and The Source at the Newseum. But I also would love to see the restaurants that aren’t budget busters but that I still don’t get to go to as much as I would like because it does add up! I would buy any deal to Belga Café, Lincoln Restaurant, and Ray’s the Steaks in a heartbeat! Lastly – Jack Rose just opened and I hear they have an awesome bourbon/scotch collection – would love to try all the top shelf stuff they have! Thanks for doing this! Catherine G

For New York: I'd love to see a deal on Gilt City NY at the Bumble and Bumble Salon. I've heard really wonderful things and would love to try it out. Also, really love Beauty & Essex (restaurant). It's a speakeasy with really delicious food and fun cocktails.

Several people already said it, but Graffiato would also be my first choice.

Bonaparte in Georgetown has a special place in my heart & is so chic — one of my favorite DC brunch spots. I second the Kennedy Center tickets motion!
Gilt City should be guiding us to Lost Society on U St – there's not another place in DC that pulls together the perfection of food, atmosphere, and style in such an inspired way!

Tango Sur in Chicago is fabulous. The ambiance is great and the food is spectacular.
I would love a deal at Estadio that comes with a reservation or a reserved “Gilt only” time block–it's impossible to get a seat there! (Although they do serve a good, and less packed, brunch.) Elsewhere, how cool would it be if they had a Gilt party at the Newseum or the Portrait Gallery?!
I'd like to see a Gilt Deal for Bliss Spa in DC. I just went there for the first time yesterday and I'd like to go back, but it is super expensive.
For a restaurant, I'd love to see a deal for Zaytinya–not only is the food fabulous but the ambiance is just perfect. For “other” I'd love to see a deal for Bar Method classes. I recently began taking them at the newly opened studio and I love going, but it's very expensive!

In NYC I'd never pass up a Gilt City deal for Sweet Revenge. What's better than delicious cupcakes paired with beer and wine?

I would love to see Physique57 classes in NYC. They have the DVDs every once in a while, but not the in person classes. For restaurants, would love to see Marea.
My vote is for Founding Farmers, especially as fall comes around. Best comfort food!
I'd have to agree with Zaytinya and Kennedy Center tickets (going to see Les Mis in a few weeks, and that almost broke the bank). Firefly is also a great option.
I rarely leave the city to eat, but I hear Restaurant Eve amazing (and pricey!) menu is worth the trip to Alexandria.
i've heard fantastic things about corduroy but am unlikely to make it there soon without some kind of incentive a la gilt city! tosca and vidalia are other favorite (pricey) restaurants.
I'd love to see one for Poste. Also, I would definitely spring for a Brite Smile deal at a DC cosmetic dentist.

The Jefferson Hotel in DC– a great bar, delicious restaurant and relaxing spa!
Dickson Wine Bar on U St. A bit off the beaten path of U/14th St, but the banh mi and chacuterie are amazing, and you can never go wrong with wine!
I would love to see a Gilt City DC deal for Dino in Cleveland Park. Absolutely delicious rustic Italian food and they get their ingredients from local, organic, sustainable providers.

I LOVE BlackSalt. I've yet to find a better place for seafood. And they use real Maryland crab.

Just moved here and I haven't hit up many of these restaurants because of the price but I plan on trying them all over the next several years! Cava Mezze was great in Capitol Heights. About to try Founding Farmers and my best friend said Filomena was phenomenal but too expensive.

Filomena in Georgetown is simply divine! The food is always wonderful, and the restaurant itself is upscale, but comfortable.
