Karen Kane Sequin Pencil Skirt (Nordstrom, $59)

I love a sequin pencil skirt for evening.  It’s a versatile choice because it can be roughed up for a rocker chic look, or it can be made prim and proper for a sophisticated evening on the town.  Also, if you choose a knee length version, it’s good for many sizes and age groups.  Check back later today for two ways to wear this skirt.

    Belle-
I'm a little on the shorter side, can a sequin skirt be hemmed? Or is that something you have to get the right length on from the start?
    Thanks!

Maggie-In my experience sequin dresses can be hemmed, so I'm sure skirts can too. It might be a bit pricey, though.

I have a very similar sequin skirt from a few years back and I had it hemmed with no problem. IIRC, it was more expensive than a regular hem, but nothing outrageous. I also have a sequin dress with sequins similar to the DKNY one (in the shopstyle app) that couldn't be (easily) hemmed. I think with the smaller/flatter sequins (like on this particular skirt), you're good to go!

Thanks so much! Now to get myself a pencil skirt like this and find a seamstress who loves me enough to get it ready for a party next week!
