2011 Gift Guide: For Ladies

Dec 8, 2011

Michael Kors Saffiano Wallet ($140).  I’ve owned two of these wallets.  They are extremely well made, and come in fabulous colors.  This wallet is the perfect give for any woman.

Alex & Chloe All My Heart Ring ($90).  I’m not really into hearts, but this ring made me rethink my position.  The small stone detail is precious, and it comes in several metals (silver, gunmetal, rose and yellow gold) to suit any taste.  It can also be turned over to look like a pointed ring, so it’s two rings in one.

Piperlime Infinity Scarf ($34).  This is a great gift for a sister or sister-in-law.  You can find scarves in several colors, styles and price points, and they can be worn with casual or work attire.  Miss M likes to wear a camel cashmere one with a camel crewneck for a chic monochromatic look.

NV Gruet Rose Brut Champagne ($15).  I love to give pink champagne as a gift.  It’s bubbly, glamorous and pink, what’s not to love?  NV Gruet is one of my favorite bottles, and the wallet-friendly price just makes it taste that much sweeter.  If you want a more expensive bottle, Perrier Jouet makes a nice bottle in the $70 range.

However, I would buy the cheaper bottle and a nice pair of champagne bowls to go with it.  They’re cooler than flutes with a vintage feel, and you can find a lot of beautiful antique ones on Etsy.

If you have any other ideas for gifts in different price ranges, leave them in the comments.  Goodness knows, women are almost as hard to shop for as men.

Cheers on the Gruet! You know it's from Out West, right? Made in Albuquerque, NM! Which makes it my favorite bubbly, because it's from my homeland. Plus, it's really good.

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
