2011 Gift Guide: For the Female Coworker

Dec 7, 2011

Coffee Joulies ($50).  This gift is perfect for coffee, tea and cocoa drinkers.  The Joulies absorb heat when a beverage goes over 140, cooling it down to a drinkable temperature.  Then, as the beverage cools down, the Joulies release the heat to warm it back up.  You coffee will be the perfect temperature from the first sip to the last.

Coffee Cards. Whether you like the national chain or the local haunt, a lot of coffee houses sell gift cards or gift certificates.  So if you’re coworkers like a morning jolt, they’ll be happy to feed their addiction for free for a bit.  And if your cubicle mates don’t jump for java, think about giving gift cards to local restaurants and bars.  Personally, I wouldn’t turn down a gift card to a local bakery, since my drug of choice is donuts.  (Hint! Hint!)

Russell + Hazel A4 Notebook ($20).  With a subtle punch of color, this notebook is perfect for the professional woman with style.  It’s certainly better than a boring legal pad.

Kate Spade All Occasion Card Set ($35).  My Mother has a basket full of cards.  Cards for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, condolences, etc.  So whenever an event pops up, she just reaches into her basket of tricks and sends a salutation.  For those of us who don’t shop at Hallmark, Kate Spade has a box of cards to help working professionals remember all the important events in style.

Flowers. Women love flowers.  We can’t help it.  It’s programmed into our DNA.  So a nice order of flowers is always a welcome gift, but do you know what’s even better? A chic bouqet of flowers every month from H. Bloom.  It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

P.S. Remember, all of these products are Made in America.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
