10th Commandment: October 11

Oct 11, 2011

It’s Unpaid Intern Week in the 10th Commandment!  That means that every piece is under $75.  Stylish and fiscally responsible, who knew?  Enjoy!

Arched Pleats Cropped Pullover (Anthropologie, $68)

At first, I resisted the crop sweater trend.  Mostly, I demurred because I wasn’t crazy about the mid-90s throwback, and because showing your midriff is discouraged in a professional setting.  I also objected to the fact that most cropped sweater are overly baggy, and being pear-shaped, adding volume to the top is not a good idea.

But this sweater fits closer to the body, has a simple silhouette and could be worn to work with the right separates.  Check back at 1:00PM for Three Ways to wear this cropped sweater.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
