When it comes to warm weather recess attire, I’m all about dresses and cardigans.  Why?  Because thanks to HVAC specialists in the Superintendent’s Office, it’s about 32-degrees in my office.  Without that cardigan, I will turn into a popsicle.

This printed dress from French Connection will be flattering on the vast majority of women.  It’s loose and breezy, perfect for a summer day.  The cap sleeve and knee-length make it office appropriate.  And the cinching at the waist is just begging to be belted, but I’m not going to do that.

Instead, I’m adding a relaxed, loose fitting cardigan.  The shawl collar compliments the neckline of the dress, and the soft peach color is a nice contrast to the dress’s blue and white print.  How comfy does this cardigan look? Perfect for recess.

As for the accessories, I think the tiled, mother-of-pearl bangles are a great match to the cardigan.  I am obsessed with these sandals (I think it is their fourth appearance on the blog.).  And this purse is the perfect mix of boho-chic, whimsy and functional style.  I really love the hardware on the bag.

Recess is the only time when the Hill is a 9-to-5 job, so take advantage of this time of relaxation.  This outfit is comfortable and casual, but still pulled together for the office.  Perfect for dining al fresco (on an actual lunch hour) and having a cocktail during Happy Hour.
