Midi-Length Full Skirt (Asos, $63)
The swishy, knee length full skirt is really hot right now. Reminiscent of a bygone era, this skirt is bright and perfect for spring. I’ll take one in every color.

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
Belle, How would this look on a gal with a thicker bottom half?
As a girl with a thicker bottom half, if you can define your waist and choose the right length, it would probably look just fine. Experiment and try on a number of skirts – there can be a big difference in a skirt that hits right above the knee, right at the knee, or just below the knee. The most flattering length for my larger calves is just above the knee; showing my kneecap creates a longer line. Even at 5'11, a skirt that hits me just below the knee (unless it's a pencil) makes me look stumpy.
Great pick! I ordered a few things from ASOS as soon as online ordering became available in the U.S. and I've been meaning to order more. I'm heading over to the site to see what they have now!
B's right. It's all about the waist, and the view from the rear. But it's definitely worth a try.
