10th Commandment: February 1

Feb 1, 2011

A few weeks ago, I read somewhere that drape skirts are out.  I vehemently disagree.  A woman can only wear a pencil or an A-line so many times before she needs a change of pace.  This Helmut Lang skirt is the perfect addition to any wardrobe as it can be work to work or out on the town.

Twisted Stretch Skirt (Net-a-Porter, $195)

What I like most about this skirt is that the drapes aren’t directly atop the hips.  Moving them a bit lower is much better for those of us who are pear-shaped.

I have a similar skirt, and I love the way it looks on me, but I'm having a hard time styling it. What would you pair with it?

It's funny you should ask. Check back this afternoon at 1pm.

I have a similar problem. I can't figure out what type of top to wear with my draped skirt. Whatever I try is either too structured or too flowy. Help! 🙂

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
