10th Commandment: January 6

Jan 6, 2011

I grew up out West where men wear black jeans to formal occasions like weddings, so I’ve never really warmed up to black denim.  But a few weeks back, an old co-worker wore a pair and I thought they looked really fab.  So now, I have to have a pair.

I was never a fan of black denim either but I just purchased this pair from Madewell and I LOVE them! The straight leg is nice for a pear shape body because they're not quite as severe as a skinny jean, but can still easily be tucked into boots.

Belle, I am not overweight, but I have shorter, slightly larger than average legs– can i still wear skinny jeans?

Try Cookie Johnson's skinny jeans. They fit really well, and are available at Nordie's. They're good for women who “aren't supposed” to wear skinny jeans.

I bought a pair of black skinny pants from the gap. They're twill, not denim, but the fit is great and they are very comfortable. Only downside: $60. Still, totally worth it.

I found some black skinnies during my post-Christmas-sale shopping and bought them on a whim. Love them! They look awesome tucked into boots and it's great to have something a little different in the rotation from my usual boring dark-wash blue jeans. I'm still looking for the perfect gray pair too.

My current go-to jeans are a black pair from Urban Outfitters. They are more straight-legged so they may be more flattering on certain body types. And, the last time I was in there, they were on sale for $37…not bad!

james jeans' twiggy jean in “black clean” – amazingly flattering hybrid of jean and legging without that bare, tacky feeling of a “jegging” (fits like a real skinny jean, but with stretch that does amazing things to minimize the thigh area).
