The single tax hits hard. I divorced 2 years ago. My expenses barely changed. Sure, food is less, but everything else? Pretty much the same. Oh, and let’s discuss my income taxes. Explain why I’m paying the exact same tax rate as a single women making 1/2 of what my joint income was SIMPLY because I’m single? Why should married people have a tax break? Please, educate me. 😒

Oh, and the next time someone married with kids says “you get invited to better parties/have more fun than me. I spend all weekend at kid’s birthday parties” I might legit punch them. First, that’s the life you selected unlike the 41 and divorced life I was thrust into when my husband cheated. Don’t get me wrong – I don’t regret the divorce but let’s stop acting like being single at 40 is this easy, magical carefree life.

The Madewell blouse looks pretty, but I am firmly in my Era of No Ironing. How do you care for yours, Abra? Does steaming keep it presentable? Does air drying with finger pressing work?
