Gift Guide 2023: Under-$75 Home Gifts

Nov 22, 2023

As we age, our holiday gifting list explodes with people.  You have in-laws, friends, friends’ kids, and work colleagues.  That’s why we’re all looking for affordable, thoughtful gifts.  So here is a list of under-$75 home gifts that includes no scented candles.  You could give these gifts to almost anyone and they’re nice enough to be appreciated and useful enough to be valued.

This Saro Lifestyle throw from Target comes in three beautiful and unique designs.  I love the texture and pattern.  The neutral palette makes it an easy piece to blend into any decor.

The holidays can be tough on non-drinkers.  So many festive occasions with so many libations, and non-drinkers are usually stuck with virgin Cuba Libres.  Luckily, Food52 has a wide selection of no and low alcohol options.  These For Bitter or For Worse Low Alcohol spirits let you mix in fruit, club soda and ice for a drink that serves a wider audience.  Also, if you like Cuba Libres, try this Rumish dark rum reminiscent spirit to give a non-alcoholic drink the right kick.

Get your sunglasses out of the bowl on your entry table, off your counter, or out of the drawer in your dresser with this great storage option.  In your choice of woods, this is just what you need to keep your sunglasses unscratched and at the ready.

Yes, I want you to gift your loved ones cutting boards.  But not just any cutting boars, their new favorite ReBoard cutting boards.  BPA-free and made from sugarcane and food scraps, these cutting boards are an eco-friendly gift for the home cook.  They also come in really fun colors.

Whether they use it to serve dessert, a cheese board, or just let it look pretty on the shelf, this Lady Onyx Marble Cake Stand is a great gift.  Bring it to a party with a cake on it, and then leave the cake stand behind for the host.

This Crosley Radio lets you stream music or podcasts from your Bluetooth devices or listen to AM/FM radio.  It has a battery, so you can use it to get updates in an emergency.  And it looks great on a shelf.  I’m also told the sound quality is pretty good by a friend who uses hers as a portable speaker at backyard parties.

Grandparents and great grandparents don’t want gifts.  They want you to visit and call more.  This Wi-Fi Enabled Photo Frame from Amazon is the next best thing.  You can easily upload the million pictures on your phone to the frame, and let the grandparents get a fresh look at their grandkids.  This is much less expensive than the popular Aura frame, but I bought one for my Nana, and it works great.

So true about grandparents, “only consumables or experiences”, is what mine have told me they want. *sigh*
I’d love to visit more…talk to my boss, please.
