Things over here are a little nuts right now. I’m 32 weeks pregnant. My husband has COVID. I am in isolation, locked in our bedroom, with mild symptoms and bone-deep exhaustion. And we have construction workers here framing in the addition for the Endless Remodel.
But let’s take a journey to the bright, sunny beaches of South Florida, where color abounds and relaxation feels guaranteed.
If you’re not following Blair Eadie Bee on Instagram, you should be. She is an OG blogger who used to maintain a site called Atlantic-Pacific. And her style is just as lively and cool as it was then.
Pants // I love the idea of pairing a bright pant with a striped shirt for summer. It’s fun and vibrant, without being too much for most offices. Neon yellow was a bit much for me, so I chose the ‘Barbie Pink’ color sweeping through the fashion world right now. These Banana Republic pants actually come in a few colors, so you can go with another if you like. If you’re looking for a wider leg opening, try Boden.
Banana also has these paper-bag waist pants in cobalt and yellow. You could also try this bold-red orange from Boden (up to size 22) or these awesome Sportmax wide legs in a soft aqua-green. Plus-size? Eloquii always has a lot of different colors in stock.
Shirt // A striped shirt is a wardrobe staple. I have seen it styled so many ways now that I bought one for the rest of maternity and after. The shirt in the inspiration image is from Tuckernuck; it has a big collar and a dramatic sleeve detail. For my use, the Alex Mill shirt is the only way to go, total classic. Need something less expensive? This LL Bean shirt is the thing.
Shoes // This was a tough decision. I looked around for a pink point pump that would blend seamlessly into the pant, but it started to feel a little too costume for me. So let’s save the day with a simple nude-to-you or beige pump.
These easy Charles & David pumps caught my eye. But my favorite heel height is 2.75″ so these Sam Edelman Jordyn pumps are best choice for me. Need a flat? Try these great Linea Paolo’s. Wide feet? Try these Naturalizer pumps.
Accessories // I wanted the rest of the accent pieces to stay true to Blair’s original look, but still be work appropriate. This navy bag from Ralph Lauren is a really chic option. For the sunglasses, I chose this white Quay pair, but also loved this cream-tortoise pair from DvF that remind me so much of a pair that I lost last year, that I had to buy them. And last, I chose a really simple, subtle silver drop earring from Wolf & Badger.
Styling // I have never been able to pull off Blair’s dramatic bun look. The severe pull-back just does not work for me. So instead, I would go with this updo from Kate that works on shoulder length hair. Or just wear it loose, whichever you prefer.
For the makeup, I would do a neutral eye like this palette from Ilia, which has cooler brown hues. And I’d hit it with a berry wash on my lips, nothing too think though, since it is summer.

Boooo Covid! That completely sucks. Praying you guys heal quickly and safely!
I remember Atlantic-Pacific – it was great! Thanks for the reintro to BEB, her insta does indeed look just as great.
Nuts all caps, Abra, wow. Hang in there, hope you are both feeling good again very soon.
I LOVE those pants and I must have the green ones. Off to stalk eBay and Poshmark for my size…
I hope you are feeling better soon and that you and the hubs both have mild cases. My boyfriend and I got COVID in Belgium (we barely averted a complete disaster, long story), and I can tell you, the fatigue is real. Don’t fight it–just sleep.
Wishing you all the best for a healthy and happy delivery of your sweet daughter.
man, you can’t catch a break! I wish you all a speedy recovery. blair’s style is SO not mine, but I used to follow her blog just because she was so creative and her photoshoots killed it.
