Men make the moral code and they expect women to accept it. They have decided that it is entirely right and proper for men to fight for their liberties and their rights, but that it is not right and proper for women to fight for theirs. // Emmeline Pankhurst

Those AT dresses are lovely. On the women’s unpaid work point, I hope working from home put a stop to some of that and/or will empower us to say no. Haven’t missed being among the ones to clean up after an office lunch, for example.

    • Belle says:

Agreed. I definitely didn’t miss being the birthday card chooser/organizer. I don’t mind at all when it’s a shared responsibility among lots of co-workers regardless of gender (one of my offices assigned two people to each month, and you coordinated birthdays for that month and no one was immune, not even the boss), but when it’s the same three women, unless it’s in someone’s job description, and they’re compensated, very upsetting.

On “a little treat,” I stash Ferrero Rocher in my desk drawer at work and I have one on days I pack my own lunch… Haha. Helps motivate me to avoid DoorDash-ing my lunch.

    Great article!

  4. Kay says:

The red flags in a job interview article is very reassuring to me because two weeks ago I pulled out of the interview process for a very lucrative position. Some of the items mentioned in this article were things that happened during my interview and I feel even better now about my decision to trust my gut and let them know I wouldn’t be continuing in the interview process.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
