Never stopped wearing the claw clip since the 19902. Sorry not sorry! Ha
Me niether! I wear them at home, at work, etc. They’re a life saver for putting up curly hair without disrupting my curl pattern (and needing to wet my hair to reset).
Ah, god, the CLAW CLIP. This is a habit I haven’t been able to kick. I wouldn’t quite go as far as, “guilty pleasure,” because I don’t particularly relish them. That said, they definitely have their place for me. Should I have honed my updo skills more? Absolutely. But I didn’t, and sometimes we have to make sacrifices to get through the day, haha.
When I still worked in an office, I didn’t wear them around the office. I had one in my desk to pull my hair into when I was in *my* office, focusing, and just needed my hair out of my damn face. Otherwise, I relegated them to an at-home-use thing, much like slippers.
Now that I’m in a permanent WFH role, I use one periodically during the day, but not on Zoom. I really like the octo-clips that have the bent claws that lay flush against your head.
I could not give a better review to the Boss suit. Have worn it only for monumental work occasions and it feels like it was tailored to my body. Excellent for tall women!
The irony of reading an article about the claw clip, then see one listed on Whitney Port’s gift guide! 🙂
There was a Pantene ad a few years ago called “sorry, not sorry” that totally changed my mindset and made me more conscious about how much I was apologizing. I would send it to young interns just starting out as part of a conversation with them about being more assertive.
