I can’t remember the last time I made cookies, but this weekend, we have a law school reunion and I’m bringing cookies for the potluck. Because cookies are amazing, and anyone who tells you they don’t make a good potluck addition is wrong.
These are the chocolate chip, toffee, and sea salt cookies. They are delicious. Looking for a non-chocolate chip cookie? These pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting are also fantastic.

It’s officially cold in Spokane. And when I head to Montana at the end of the month, I’m sure it will be colder. Maybe I need to find a career path that takes me to Hawai’i? But since it’s chilly, it’s officially sweater season. And for a patio potluck, it’s sweater and puffer vest season.
Need sweaters? Goodthreads is the place to go, especially if you need cotton sweaters. This shaker stitch turtleneck sweater is a nice piece. This boucle shaker cardigan is long and cozy for WFH. And this deep v-neck sweater is a tunic length, so it’s great with leggings.
Plus-size? Try this boyfriend cardigan from Woman Within and this turtleneck sweater from them as well.

This lemon cookie is amazing. Try with and without the icing.

Hi Abra, what shoes would you wear with the turtleneck and puffer vest? Thanks, enjoy those cookies! Looks delish
I am wearing the Goodthreads shaker stitch crewneck right now in my freezing office. It’s so good and comfy and still smart for my office.
Hawaii resident here! It’s not cold but I do jealously read about the cute fall clothes, nail polish colors and the general changing of the seasons. It’s bright colors and tropical all day everyday ☀️ ????
The chocolate chip cookie recipe on the back of the Nestle Toll House chocolate chip bag is the best. Also, these are so good – https://www.joyofbaking.com/ChocolateCrinkles.html.
The molasses part throws people off, but it all works! Plus I tend to drop the pans, not bang them – it’s a bit fun if you need to make some noise.
