The Find: Affordable Jewelry Pieces

Aug 26, 2020

When I shop, I am on the hunt for pieces that I will still wear and still love when the pandemic is over.  There’s no point in stocking up on matching tie-dye sweatsuits that will never see the light of day again.  I need pieces that I can use now, but aren’t limited to right now.

That’s why I’ve been looking for cute jewelry to wear on Zoom calls or just to brighten a simple work-from-home outfit.  Here are a few great pieces under-$75.

These Baublebar stack rings (pictured top of ring finger and pointer) are larger than your traditional stack ring.  They’re also a bolder statement piece.  I adore them.

Simple link jewelry is really in right now.  Baublebar’s Hera Collection has some wonderfully classic pieces.  This bracelet is no exception.  It’s perfect for adding a little something extra to your wrist.

Love pearls?  Give them a boost with this <$30 black pair from Splendid Pearls.  They give the classic a bit of a twist.

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you know I prefer long necklaces.  (They really elongate the body.)  So if I’m choosing a short necklace, you know it’s got to be good.  This jagged moonstone pendant from Adornia is definitely a statement piece.  It would look great with a simple v-neck or crewneck top.

These pave earrings from AllSaints mix elegance and rocker-chic.  They’re impactful enough to be noticed on a Zoom call but not overwhelming.  The mix of smoky crystals and brass keeps them from being too much.

Also, if you love white-tone metal, AllSaints always has modern pieces made in both metals.

I will wear my matching tie dye sweats until I die! 😉

Love the affordable jewelry! I’ve definitely noticed that a good necklace or pair of earrings makes a big difference on a video call. Like you, I tend toward longer necklaces, but I don’t love them on videos that tend to just be face and shoulders. Definitely going to pick up some of these shorter length necklaces!

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
