Tuesday Outfit: A Comfy, Chic WFH Outfit

Apr 14, 2020

Yesterday, we talked about the search for outfits that are comfortable enough for long days at home, but also stylish.  So I went to Pinterest looking for inspiration, and, ladies, did I find it.

This inspiration image from Could I Have That is one of my all time favorite outfits.  And what could be simpler than an easy, loose-fitting dress and a chunky cardigan in the same color family?

For the dress, I chose this gorgeous ginger-colored tank from Lou & Grey.  The rich color is sublime, and the dress comes in 100% cotton, in a breezy textured fabric.  It’s the epitome of easy elegance.

The Aerie cardigan comes in a subtle marled sienna color.  It’s a wonderful complement to the ginger dress.  It has a slouchy drape with a slightly oversized look.

I accessorized the look with a fun Sondra Roberts satchel.  It’s an affordable and unique piece.  The Schutz cork sandals (under-$100) are a chic summer option.  I also like these relaxed huaraches.

Lastly, I added this stylish gold coin necklace from Gabe Rielle.  I also like these coin drop earrings from South Moon Under.

As for the hair, I would wear it down in your natural texture.  For the makeup, I like this coffee-colored OPI polish called That’s What Friends Are Thor.  For the lipstick, I would choose a slightly rosy color like Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk.

Not feeling the ginger color?  Here are a few more options.

Gray. Old Navy Tank Dress (petite/tall) + Lucky Brand Cardigan

Blue. Navy White Co. Tank Dress + Pale Blue A New Day Cardi

Browns. Chestnut Scoop Tank Dress + BR Duster Cardigan in Sand Beige

Green. H&M Green Tank Dress + Lark & Ro Dark Green Cardigan

Plus Size. Black DG2 Cardigan + Splendid Retreat Cardigan

Love this idea, especially because slip dresses are making a comeback!

Honestly, that is a perfect representation of my work at work outfit this past 6 months. My brain works a whole lot better when I’m comfortable. Luckily I’m in a job where that outfit is perfectly acceptable.

    Beautiful colors and very versatile!

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
