Last Week’s Most Popular: January 20, 2020

Jan 20, 2020

You know it’s the dead of winter when everyone’s favorite items are mostly black.  But as Emanuelle Alt would say, “I’ll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color.”  Here are last week’s most popular items.

Halogen Wrap Blouse // I’m a sucker for a waist-defining work top, and this Halogen blouse hits all the right notes.  To give it a bit more structure, switch out the tie belt for a skinny, black leather belt.  Plus-size?  This Who What Wear blouse in leopard print has a similar look.

Jenny Bird Ada Earrings // These sleek earrings have a wonderful fluidity to them.  I love the half-hoop look.  It’s a modern update on simple studs.

Sam Edelman Rodney Flat // Who doesn’t love a chic leopard flat?  These flats have a wonderfully stylish shape that can read professional or dressed up casual.  The print has just the right amount of beige, black and brown in it.   Wide feet?  Amazon has them in the wider widths.

Ann Taylor Seasonless Trousers // These slightly flared trousers are the perfect work pant.  They are made in a mid-weight fabric that you can wear any time of year.  They also come in petite and tall sizes, and cuts for curvy figures.

Coach Dreamer Wallet // It’s so hard to find a good wallet.  So when I posted this Coach wallet to Instagram, it quickly became a favorite.  It comes in seven colors, but this oxblood wallet is my favorite.  The wallet has fantastic storage — multiple card holders, a cash flap, and a zippered pocket –and the minimalist styling is stunning.

Jeffrey Campbell Rainboots // And, for the most popular item of the week, a pair of chic rainboots.  Who knew there was such a thing?  The boots are comfortable, keep the muck off of your feet, and a sleek enough to blend in with any outfit.

I ordered the Jeffrey Campbell boots and they came yesterday. They are even nicer in person and PERFECT for my winter commute with thick Smartwool socks when I don’t feel like wearing my heavy Sorel snow boots. Thank you!!

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
