Item of the Week: Tweed Jackets for Spring

Mar 27, 2017

Finding stand-alone jackets is such a challenge.  Plain navy and black blazers are fine, but sometimes, you just want something that doesn’t look like a suit.  Unique tweed jackets are my go-to choice when I need something that can make a statement.

This tweed jacket from Nic + Zoe (also in petite) is so cool and weird; it will breathe life into any outfit.  This Karl Lagerfeld Paris jacket has a more classic look, but it’s equally unique, with a bow-neck and black piping.  And if you’re into the bell sleeve trend, try this ivory Mango jacket with dramatic sleeves.

Hi, Belle – Would love to see some styling on these! I picked a tweet zip blazer and am having a hard time styling it because of the bulk and shorter length. Would appreciate any suggestions!

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
