1) Looking to change your behavior/habits?  After the age of 25, it becomes much more difficult.  Fast Company has some tips for bringing about lasting change.

2) This sheer tunic from Merona is a great, affordable piece for summer.  You can pair it with coral shorts, or wear it over a lacy black bra for something different.

3) American Pharaoh is one step away from winning horse racing’s Triple Crown, but fivethirtyeight says that racing fans should be skeptical.

4) Looking for a fun beach bag?  Cathy’s Concepts makes this striped bag for $39.  You can monogram any of their bags, so they’d make a great bridesmaids gift or birthday present.

5) Conde Nast Traveler offers suggestions on where to travel when.  Here are there suggestions for May.

6) Allure explains what SPF really means just in time for summer.  As for favorite sunscreens, I love Supergoop’s Sun Defying Oil.  They also make a spray-on sunscreen if you like something lighter.

7) Vanity Fair has a slideshow of looks from the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.  I love the sculptural strapless dresses on Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron.

8) I’m not usually such a fan of bows, but this white coat from Kate Spade is adorable.

9) Kottke.org asks: What’s the most beautiful paragraph/sentence you’ve ever read?

“Love is so short, forgetting is so long.” — Pablo Neruda

    We look before and after,
    And pine for what is not;
    Our sincerest laughter
    With some pain is fraught;
    Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
