For Drinks & Dinner.  Printed coats are popping up in magazines and on fashion blogs.  They’re a nice alternative to the basic trenches that most of us wear during the chilly spring months.  I also found this graphic-printed swing coat at Nordstrom and this Boden striped trench coat.  If you like animal prints, this leopard-print trench from Bon-Ton has some sass to it.  Plus-size? I wanted to create a relaxed look that you could wear to an event at a conference or to dinner with friends or family.  I chose this crepe top from J.Crew because I loved the color palette of light and dark neutrals, and because you could easily wear it with jeans or trousers for the office.  I’d tuck the top into the skirt and maybe add a stretchy belt, but you could also leave it untucked.

These Marc Fisher pumps have a great look for the price.  I like the fact that they’re conservative enough for work, but the cut-out detail gives them a little something extra.  If you prefer to pump up your after-hours footwear, I’m still loving these sandals I picked up at Zara.  They’re a 7 on the comfort scale, but an 11 in the looks department.  Prefer something simple?  These Jeffrey Campbell ankle-strap sandals are a great basic with a bit of sex appeal.

ASOS is the place to go for evening bags.  I adore this modern clutch, but this Front Strap clutch was a very close second, especially at $33.  As for the bracelets, I wanted something in black, so that the jewelry didn’t distract from the simplicity of the outfit, but I also wanted a little shine.  These Kenneth Cole bangles were perfect for that.  Prefer more metal?  This Blu Bijoux Golden Bubble Wrap bracelet has a great look and a good price.

For the hair, I would wear it down.  You can go straight or curly, but I’d probably go with a slightly wavy, messy bed head look.  For the makeup, you can keep it neutral or really go for it with a dark smokey eye and a barely there lip color.

For Casual Monday.  The color palette for this outfit may be neutral, but it’s anything but boring.  Gap’s navy trench is sold out in most sizes, so I chose this Banana Republic one instead.  It comes in misses sizes up to XL, as well as petite and tall.  Plus-size?  I like the utility-styling on this Ellen Tracy trench.

A sweater with scarf is a great combination for casual days or business casual offices.  For this outfit, I mixed a grey sweater with a grey leopard print.  However, if you want to inject some color, try a pale blue Tippi sweater with coordinating scarf from Michael Kors or an orange sweater with this floral scarf from Forever 21.

How great is this bag?  I love the sculpted, origami-like shape and the monochrome color palette.  It would be an easy bag to carry year round.  Need an option under-$75?  Try this Aldo Casalserugo bag, it has the same color combination and sharp styling.

Lastly, for the jewelry silver earrings felt right given the grey color palette, but the hardware on the bag was gold.  While it’s not a necessity to match the hardware on your purse, I decided that these druzy earrings with silvery stones were the perfect compromise.

For the hair, I would wear it up since there’s a scarf.  You could wear it in a styled ponytail or a low bun.  For the makeup, I’d wear a berry-tinted lip color and a pop of pink blush to bring some color to the outfit.  I am loving Lipstick Queen Hello, Sailor, it’s blue in the tube but goes on a subtly tinted berry that looks great on almost everyone.
