Dagmar Roxanne Pencil Skirt ($190)

Still on my navy with black kick, I saw this skirt and had to have it.  I love the sophisticated color palette and the modern color block style.  The fabric is a stretchy jersey that is fairly forgiving, but it does require smooth undergarments to achieve a sleek look.

I would pair it with a polka dot top, like the one from Tuesday’s post.  I also like to wear it with a black and white striped sweater or a sheer black top.  And it looks great with a simple blouse and my black suit jacket.

Like the look but not the price?  I like the way the accent on this Saks black and white skirt looks like a slit in the skirt.  This pink and black NY & Co. skirt has a unique look to it.  But if it’s the navy and black color palette you’re after, this MonaMour peplum top and this simple shift from Mossimo are the way to go.
